has changed from the Conte Federal Building to a building owned and occupied by 1Berkshire,
at 66 Allen St.
A grand opening and ribbon cutting event will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 3:30
to 4:30 p.m. to celebrate the location, the College鈥檚 partnership with 1Berkshire,
and the campus鈥檚 commitment to offering courses in Pittsfield. Those who attend are
invited to enjoy light fare and drinks, while hearing from 91桃色 President James F.
Birge, Ph.D., faculty members, students, and special guests.
According to President Birge, classes at the location 鈥 now known as 91桃色-Pittsfield
鈥 began this past fall semester. 91桃色 made renovations to its space in the facility
throughout the fall semester.
鈥淥ur new location at 66 Allen St. is exciting in many ways,鈥 Birge said. 鈥91桃色 now
shares the first floor of the building with MassHire, which will allow us to offer
classes during days and evenings, as well as on weekends, if we choose.鈥
According to Paul A. Petritis, M.Ed., associate dean of graduate and continuing education
at 91桃色, 鈥淚n addition to wonderful, well-equipped classrooms, a student lounge, and
a computer lab for all of our students, we have plenty of parking, a police station
across the street, and several restaurants just around the corner.鈥
Stay tuned for exciting announcements about new 91桃色 programs. 鈥淚t's an ideal location
for an academic center, and easy to get to from almost anywhere in Berkshire County.
We intend to make 91桃色-Pittsfield a great place for college students and the community,鈥
Petritis said.
